Why Innovation cannot be copied but only imitated?

Innovation is a process made up of several elements.

It involves an innovative individual or group who utilizes external data analysis and development to create a novel solution (product or process) to address a market issue, using a completely different approach from previous solutions.

Innovation's meaning can be understood as the act of introducing something new, while an innovation synonym could be a term used to describe such a creative endeavor. What does innovation mean? Well, it refers to the process of implementing novel ideas to drive change and add value.

Innovation as a fuel-powered engine

One can imagine the innovation process as a fuel-powered engine.

A spark ignites the fuel, creating kinetic motion which leads to another spark, and so on until the fuel runs out.

Similar to an engine, the process of innovation does not stop at the first cycle but continues until all ideas have been exhausted.

what about "copied innovation"?

Innovation can only be emulated, not fully replicated, as the imitator can only reproduce the innovative outcome of the initial cycle of ideas.

They will not have the spark to initiate the first cycle, nor the fuel, thus the process of innovation cannot be copied. The "emulated innovation" lacks the ability to foresee the future and respond to unexpected changes with agility.
